It's been a week after the con, but I haven't had time to write a con report until now! After the con, I was extremely exhausted and had something to do every day, celebrate my mom's birthday, astronomy club, starting my internship, and editing the vlog for NYCC. That's up here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJM38o…
Anyways, the con was very crowded.. Since I didn't go last year, I forgot how PACKED it gets at the Javits. I went all three days; after school on Friday, and before the doors opened on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday, I left school and took the train to 34th, then waited for the M34 bus, but I took the wrong bus in a way, the M34a which pretty much stops three long avenues away from the con. I didn't want to wait for the other bus so I just walked the rest of the way to the con. My friend told me to enter from 38th because of construction and I was planning to after walking up to 11th ave and 34th, but the construction was bigger then I thought;; So I had to walk towards traffic because the only other way to get to 38th was to go back and walk the other way, and I was carrying my costume, props, and makeup in a huge bag.
After I got there, I changed and Chu found me sitting on the floor doing my makeup blindly (I do my makeup without my glasses on cause they're in the way, but it was also kind of dim where I was). But after we were all set, we visited takoballs at her table and then we met some other Kuroko cosplayers! After that it was already like 7, so we left.
On Saturday, I probably chose the most terrible cosplay to wear in terms of the compatibility of the crowd of the con and the size of my cosplay. For the first few hours, I just walked the dealers room holding a huge garbage bag that had my dress, wig, accessories, hoopskirt and petticoat in it. After I got what I could, Chu and I went to the bathroom so she could help me set up the hoops and get me into my costume. The reason why I didn't wear my costume right away once entering the con is because I can't use the escalators that go up into the dealers room, so I had to use stairs to get everywhere, and there aren't stairs (as far as I know) that go up to the third floor of the con.
On Sunday, it was pretty chill, but it was the only day where I had to wear heels, and I haven't worn them in a long time, so I forgot how much I hate wearing heels orz; My feet were killing me a few hours in. But the biggest highlight of the entire con that was on Sunday was that I got to take a photo with and talk to one of my favorite cosplayers, Vampy! I was pretty much thinking about that the entire time after meeting her haa /fangirl
I didn't write too much detail because Chu wrote up a con report that sums up our time at NYCC, along with the vlog. The blog post is here: ichigomiso.wordpress.com/2012/…
I'm pretty tired right now, but i'm going to go watch The Walking Dead right now!! I marathoned and caught up with it this weekend, just in time for the new episode that's starting right now!

Devious Journal Entry
Hey guys, I know I've been very MIA lately... I've been occupied with school and other things lately that it's just been so tiring. But last week was my senior trip and I had a BLAST with my senior class and boyfriendo. I'm going to really miss them after we graduate and move on to college...
Speaking of colleges, I've gotten accepted to all my CUNYs that I've applied to, but I'm still waiting on NYU, NYU-Poly, Fordham and Barnard to get back to me before I make my final decision in the beginning of May. It's getting pretty close!!
As for cosplay, I bought my fabrics yesterday for the rest of the cosplays I know I'll be making this year, so
Katsucon 19
I went to katsucon over the weekend, and it was absolutely amazing. I'll copy and paste something I wrote on my facebook here, because it applies to cosplay.
"I'm so glad I went to katsu. Before going, I felt really out of touch with cosplay and my motivation wasn't as high as it normally is when a con is coming up. But after going I'm so excited for cosplay again and I love it. Again, thanks to all the friends (old and new!) that I hung out with at katsu, I really miss being there because you guys made it awesome. :>"
I had a couple of plans for katsu that fell through because I just didn't feel like doing it and didn't have the motivation
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas guys!! Hope you spend it well with family and friends !
College + Time
Hi guys! I've been really busy... with school and college applications. I just finished applying to all my colleges yesterday, and my winter break has just started. I've been really aware of how fast time has been going nowadays, and it's just crazy to me. I still remember my 9th, 10th, 11th grade experiences like it was yesterday. And now I'm getting ready to go to college... I'm making sure that I enjoy every day with my classmates and make memories I'll never forget. But I'm so sad that it's going by so fast, I just want to slow down time for a bit.
In terms of cosplay, I'm going to start preparing for Katsucon very soon. Though I should
