I went to katsucon over the weekend, and it was absolutely amazing. I'll copy and paste something I wrote on my facebook here, because it applies to cosplay.
"I'm so glad I went to katsu. Before going, I felt really out of touch with cosplay and my motivation wasn't as high as it normally is when a con is coming up. But after going I'm so excited for cosplay again and I love it. Again, thanks to all the friends (old and new!) that I hung out with at katsu, I really miss being there because you guys made it awesome. :>"
I had a couple of plans for katsu that fell through because I just didn't feel like doing it and didn't have the motivation to cosplay the character, and one cosplay that I really wanted to do, but didn't was because I hated how it looked on me once I finished sewing it. There wasn't enough time or money to make a new cosplay for that. So with all that along with just how I was feeling about cosplaying at the time, I wasn't that enthusiastic about cosplaying and going to katsucon. But once I went, I had a blast. I loved being there, seeing everything and everyone, and meeting new people.
Recap:
On Friday, I got to the con at around 3/4 because the hotel shuttle was late (and I almost took a taxi just when it came to Union Station) and there was heavy traffic. I changed into Chizuru from Hakuouki with as Kaoru. We were starving by 7ish so we changed out and went to CVS to buy some food and tomorrow's breakfast. After that we just wandered the artist alley and the convention center.
On Saturday, I wore Morgiana from Magi with as Ja'far, and a BUNCHHH of other people in Magi! This was the funniest day of katsucon because I met so many people, and had so much fun. I just loved this day...I can't put it into any other words haha.
On Sunday, I didn't cosplay and helped out my friends & Jen at the AA, and looked through the dealers room a bit before leaving the hotel at 12:50 and taking the Megabus home.
I'm editing a vlog and I did for our channel at IchigoMiso, it'll be up later this week.

Devious Journal Entry
Hey guys, I know I've been very MIA lately... I've been occupied with school and other things lately that it's just been so tiring. But last week was my senior trip and I had a BLAST with my senior class and boyfriendo. I'm going to really miss them after we graduate and move on to college...
Speaking of colleges, I've gotten accepted to all my CUNYs that I've applied to, but I'm still waiting on NYU, NYU-Poly, Fordham and Barnard to get back to me before I make my final decision in the beginning of May. It's getting pretty close!!
As for cosplay, I bought my fabrics yesterday for the rest of the cosplays I know I'll be making this year, so
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas guys!! Hope you spend it well with family and friends !
College + Time
Hi guys! I've been really busy... with school and college applications. I just finished applying to all my colleges yesterday, and my winter break has just started. I've been really aware of how fast time has been going nowadays, and it's just crazy to me. I still remember my 9th, 10th, 11th grade experiences like it was yesterday. And now I'm getting ready to go to college... I'm making sure that I enjoy every day with my classmates and make memories I'll never forget. But I'm so sad that it's going by so fast, I just want to slow down time for a bit.
In terms of cosplay, I'm going to start preparing for Katsucon very soon. Though I should
Sandy
Hope everyone in the East Coast stays safe and dry from Hurricane Sandy!!
It hasn't gotten here yet, but it's extremely windy and rain comes in every now and then.

Absolutely thrilled to hear how much you've enjoyed Katsucon <3 Katsu has recently became one of my favorite cons because of the location and the variety of cosplayers, so I'm glad you were able to enjoy it to its fullest and have your interest in cosplay renewed! I loved staying with you, and thanks a bunch again for helping out!
